Numerical Simulation of the Instability of a Non-Isothermal Liquid Film in Film Devices

نویسندگان

چکیده

This work presents results of numerical simulation the instability vertical liquid film flow at moderate Reynolds numbers in framework partial differential equation state free surface film. Equation coefficients include different physicochemical factors such as tension parameter and Marangoni parameter. Python scripts are used for computation wave characteristics, regions films state. Computational experiments were carried out water alcohol films. Results could be design or modernization existing equipment technological processes

Numerical solution for film evaporation of a spherical liquid droplet on an isothermal and adiabatic surfacet

A numerical solution for the problem of film evaporation of a liquid droplet on a horizontal surface is presented. The droplets are small enough to be assumed spherical. Two principal cases are considered : (1) the horizontal surface is maintained at a constant temperature (case I), and (2) the surface is insulated while the ambience is hot (case II). The complete set of equations governing thi...

Film condensation on non-isothermal vertical plates

An analytical study is presented of the condensation of a pure saturated vapour on a cooled channel plate, including the interaction between the cooling liquid, the condensate and the vapour. The governing equations of co-, counterand cross-current condensation are derived, set dimensionless and solved in closed form. The resulting implicit expressions are evaluated numerically by iteration. In...
